PSG directly managed the contracts and activities of the construction, access control, and cabling contractors along with the client’s furniture vendor and design team.
One of the many challenges of this project was the fast-track design and construction required to meet the aggressive schedule. PSG took a usual 26-week assignment and compressed it into a 16-week schedule.
The project team was able to meet the 16-week schedule by pre-purchasing much of the mechanical equipment and working double shifts, weekends, and holidays to complete the space in record time.
The budget of $6M in construction costs included an upscale, unique design, high-end finishes, and complex mechanical and electrical systems including light fixtures, complex lighting control systems, 24 In Row Cooling Units, PDU, 13 RTU’s delivering over 85 tons of conditioned air, and 20,000 square feet of raised floor.
One of the greatest achievements was PSG’s ability to drive value to the project design by identifying over $600,000 worth of savings to the owner without compromising the look and feel of the space.
